Join us for this LAS Career Coffee Chat where we will be conducting an informational interview with Sarah Horn, UIC, LAS alumna.
Learn how she has leveraged her LAS degree and English major in her role as a Government Grants Manager for Heartland Alliance Health (HAH).
In her current role, Sarah writes proposals and reports for funders in addition to working with staff to develop new projects and programs that benefit communities across Chicago.
Recently, Sarah has developed a grant writing internship role for undergraduate students interested in honing their writing skills and getting a taste of the non-profit field. The role will be offered exclusively to UIC students beginning in Summer 2023.
Prior to working at HAH, Sarah was a grant writer at the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago, where she developed her understanding of non-profits and the writing involved in the field.
